There are many things to do in Seattle, Washington, which is a popular port of call for many Pacific Northwest and Alaskan cruise itineraries. Some of the most popular activities in Seattle include visiting the Space Needle, exploring the city’s historic landmarks such as the Pike Place Market and the Pioneer Square, and visiting the Seattle Aquarium, and the Museum of Pop Culture. Day 1 – Seattle

Christened “The Emerald City”, Seattle is known as one of the most livable cities in the world and receives less annual rainfall (36 inches) than New York and Atlanta.

Seattle is a city located in the state of Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The Seattle cruise port is located in the city and is a popular port of call for many Alaska and other western Canada cruise itineraries.

Day 3 – Ketchikan

The first cruise ship appeared in Ketchikan 114 years ago, and it has been a favorite port ever since. You can tour the area by boat, bus, horse-drawn trolley, or even a restored 1955 Chevy.

Ketchikan is one of Alaska’s most popular destinations by cruise ship. While the local population is only about 10,000 residents, the port city will see over one million cruise passengers visiting annually. Ketchikan has a rich history which can be consumed through self-guided tours of the city or organized trips for the full effect. Either way, you’ll be astounded to learn of Ketchikan’s promiscuous past and contribution to the frontier times. Other very popular excursion options show off Ketchikan’s amazing landscapes. Day 4 – Juneau

Alaska’s capital city, Juneau, is located in Southeast Alaska. The Tongass Rain Forest climate provides Juneau with lush terrain and wildflowers. Its influence can still be felt in the architecture and general “feel” you’ll get when exploring the downtown area. But, don’t spend too much time there. Juneau is surrounded by rain forest, rivers, glaciers, and more to explore.

The most popular things to do in Juneau involve its magnificent, natural endowments. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll have a difficult time deciding between the many outdoor options.

Day 5 – Skagway

The picturesque town of Skagway is famous for its hospitality, sightseeing and recreational opportunities. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of Laughton glacier and Parsons Peak.

Known for its “rich” history as a gold-mining town, Skagway has kept much of its romantic look and feel. You’ll be transported back in time over 100 years ago as you immerse yourself in the “wild west” atmosphere. Skagway cruise port is very small. You’ll have plenty of time to see everything in town and should consider some of the many options to get out and explore the gorgeous, surrounding landscapes.

Day 7 – Victoria

Founded as a fur-trading post by the Hudson Bay Company, Victoria is home to an interesting mix of cultures. There are English pubs, East Indian restaurants, and Japanese sushi bars.

The port is equipped with modern facilities and amenities, including shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Butchart Gardens and the Royal British Columbia Museum. Visitors can also take excursions to nearby areas of natural beauty, such as the Victoria Butterfly Gardens and the Victoria Bug Zoo. Victoria is known for its rich history, vibrant local culture, and stunning natural surroundings.
